I always say that the best paintings are the ones that make you feel that you are watching an snapshot of a story. The Witch Hunter and this one are a fantastic examples and outstanding pieces of work!
Lol ^_^ I had thought I'd commented upon this masterpiece; evidentially not though.
Well, to the point. O_O Amazing, simple as that. As others have said before, you've given character to an 'alien' appearance. The coloring is exceedingly well done as well. Perhaps more than anything else though, is the environment; a viewer feels the cold, gray, windy day portrayed; in this, perhaps not so distant, work of art.
That's a great piece of art! I really like how the mech seems to show some emotions just through his single optical sensor. Also, the calmness of the girl looking at the mech, adds a huge amount of realism and authenticity to the picture. The scene seems like something totally common in this world/future. I really love your designs and also the gloomy atmosphere of your images. Great work, keep it up!
WOW that mech reminds me of a no men onboard mech that I saw in the manga C.A.T. (Confidential Assassination Troop) I don´t know if you have read it but is an interesting manga. Second I like the way the mech and the girl are looking each other. Since the whole scene looks like unfinish it give the impresion like it was a fast look.
Dude, no lie, Lehman like just showed us the lineart for this that you e-mailed him as an example for one of our projects! (Actually I think it was more an illustration for one of his random tangents, but still...) I freaking LOVE this thing's single eye! It's so utterly alien, yet the way it's looking at her for some reason makes it seem eerily human...
Hey is that who I think it is, I keep forgetting her name. Besides that its great to see your designs finally in an illustration. No critiques from me, although I do wonder how that Akula podmech is able to move quickly. (that is if it was made to be quick) I was under the impression that it actually hovered.
